LAKE OKEECHOBEE fishing

LAKE OKEECHOBEE
Capt. Mike Shellen of Okeechobee said that the water level is dropping quickly and anglers should learn about how wind patterns can pull water out of areas before heading out onto the lake's shallow areas. The Kissimmee River is still deep and holding bass. Fishing wild shiners works well. Remember that as the sun gets higher in the day, the bite slows down considerably. Look for shaded areas where bass will hide.
