big trophy walleyes

The summer when it’s hot out, the big trophy walleyes tend to go deep. In the summer you can try drifting slowly in the deep water with a worm harness. To keep your worm harness off the bottom, some people use a three-way-swivel set-up that is used with Lake Trout techniques.
Many anglers agree the best time for walleye fishing is during the spring, however, the trophy walleyes are still there to be caught in the summer. It just takes a little more knowledge.
They are a light sensitive feeder and will usually bite better on cloudy days.
