Susquehanna River Fishing Report

Largemouth Bass: Hot spots are the Codorus, Peach Bottom (Susquehanna River) and Gunpowder River (Md.). Spinnerbaits along the edges of Codorus have been picking up a few fish. Powerworms and flukes are also taking some nice fish. Crankbaits have been showing some success in the lower Susquehanna.
Smallmouth Bass: Hot spots are Holtwood Dam and York Haven. Use tubes. Fish have been very aggressive after a storm passes through. Late-afternoon topwater is still the best time to catch some nice fish.
Catfish: Hot spots are Pretty Boy Reservoir and York Haven. Cut baits and minnows are the standard. Some heavy fish are being caught in the evening.
Striped Bass: Hot spots are Conowingo Dam and Middle Bay. A few anglers are still producing some keeper stripers from the dam. Storm wildeyes are a good choice. Middle Bay anglers are finding keepers by live-lining. If you can find the bait, you will find the fish. Fishing tips forum
