Salmon are starting to stage near shore with a few fish caught off breakwalls and piers and by anglers wading near the cement plant at Charelvoix at dusk or dawn. A few fish are turning up in the rivers after recent rains. Lake Charlevoix anglers are finding perch and bass.

I am going to go fishing on Lake Charlevoix in a week and have never been there. I was hoping to take my kids bass fishing. Any idea what I should use or where I should go to try may luck? Some tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Scott
