TOLEDO BEND Fishing

T B is just below full pool and clear down south, stained up north. Water temp is in the mid-80s.
Charlie Shively at Bill's Landing said catfish are good on rod and reel and trotlines, mostly channels and blues up to seven pounds. Rod and reelers are making the best hauls out of eight feet of water using cut shad, cut perch and punch bait.
Bass fishing has been good to six pounds on topwaters, Texas rig worms and buzz frogs fished over shallow grass. Fishing guide Tommy Martin said Texas rig Trick Worms (junebug) are producing some solid fish up to five pounds. Best bite has been on main lake humps and ridges in 15-18 feet of water.
Shively said crappie are slow up north. The bite has been fair to good down south, mostly on minnows fished around deep brush.
