Bemidji area fishing
Walleye fishing is picking up in area lakes, according to Taber's Bait. Fish are schooling on top of midlake humps in 9-16 feet and hitting on leeches on a Lindy Rig and yellow and orange spinners and nightcrawlers. Area lakes also are producing northerns on large sucker minnows in 4-12 feet near bulrushes and submerged cabbage. Anglers are hooking muskies in Lake Bemidji and Big Lake.
