Fishing rod tip repair

Choose a tip that will fit neatly onto the end of the rod, if you cannot, choose one that is slightly larger than the diameter of the rod tip.
Build the blank up so the tip fits snugly onto the blank (one or two layers of binding thread)
Mix up the adhesive (Fast curing type, this prevents accidental movement of the tip during a longer drying time).
Fit the tip to the end of the rod, by putting some glue inside the tube part of the tip and twist the tip into position (this will push the adhesive evenly over the blank).
Take care to align the tip to the reel seat and backbone of the rod.
Place the Rod in a position so that the tip cannot be disturbed. (Do not continue in the building process until the glue has cured).
