Fishing around Northwest Michigan

Fishing around Northwest Michigan was really in the deep freeze over the weekend.
The cold was really unusual for March with temps below zero at night for several days. In spite of the cold, some anglers did get out there and some of them were catching fish. As expected, fishing seems to be improving. As it warms, it should get markedly better.
This weather, which could be called "maple syrup weather," freezing at night and thawing by day is usually the sign of the good fishing on last ice.
